Pence Christmas Tree Farm & Ornament Shop
|
Pence Christmas Tree Farm and Ornament Shop is a small, family-owned "Choose and Cut" tree farm located in the northeastern part of Mississippi. We are about 30 minutes from Tupelo and Oxford, 15 min from New Albany and Pontotoc. Our trees are growing and won't be ready for harvesting for a couple more years. In the interim, we do internet sales of collectible mouth blown glass Christmas ornaments from Merck Family's Old World Christmas, Inge-Glas of Germany, Varsovia of Poland, Santa Klaus & Company, Christopher Radko and have a large inventory of Christmas decorations, spring and summer accessories from RAZ Imports. We also sell a collection of handmade soaps, plush toys from GUND and The Original Popcorn on a String by Stephen Douglas, Inc. Our inventory is growing just about as fast as our trees! We started a new website because of this growth ...Southern Belles and Whistles! Check it out!

In 2001 a few people in northeast Mississippi were given a vision by God to build an inpatient hospice facility. They began the journey not realizing the obstacles. however, they strayed true to the vision and God stayed faithful to his promise. So, in November 2005, Sanctuary opened its doors and to date, over 409 patients and families have been served.
Hospitals are curative by nature and cannot offer the services that a hospice patient needs and deserves, and nursing homes are not equipped to care for the dying patient on a short-term basis since their objective is to house and care for the long-term patient.
In Mississippi, there is currently an average 18-month waiting period for acceptance into a nursing home.
The Sanctuary Hospice House serves the specific and sensitive needs of the dying patient and his or her family with a 24-hour health care professional staff trained in pain management and hospice care, emotional and spiritual support, long-term family grief counseling and the comforts and privacy of home living.
Care is provided for those who have acute symptoms that require a supervised setting, those who require respite care, individuals without able caregivers and those in need of palliative care.
